Happy National Superhero Day! (yes, that’s a thing)

At Sidekicks Solutions, we’re passionate about helping nonprofit superheroes get the most from their database software. In celebration of National Superhero Day we’re excited to highlight one of the many real-life superheroes we have the pleasure of supporting: Free Arts Minnesota.

Free Arts Minnesota, a Twin Cities nonprofit, recently teamed up with Sidekick Solutions to get more out of Social Solutions Apricot™ software and move closer to their goal of “going paperless.”

Automate workflows with web forms and email triggers

Free Arts works with a large group volunteers to help deliver their programming. Many volunteers means tracking and communicating with numerous individuals at different stages of involvement with the organization.

Rather than shuffling paper records and sending individual emails, Free Arts used Apricot’s secure web form and email trigger features to automate the standard components of volunteer management. As a result, they have reduced paper, saved time, and streamlined operations.

With their volunteer management process now online, they can automate the process.

• Volunteers access and complete an application via a link on the Free Arts website.
• As soon as an application is submitted, references listed in the application are automatically sent an email with instructions and a link to complete the online volunteer reference form.
• Once volunteers are accepted to a program, placement requests and feedback surveys are also submitted via secure web forms.

Throughout the process, electronic records are created and stored in the secure and organized Apricot database environment.
